Billing
Billing on the HPC-AI.com platform includes instance fees and remote storage fees. Local storage on instances is covered at no additional cost.
How does instance billing work?
HPC-AI.com offers both CPU instance and GPU instance to suit different computational needs. You can start with a lower-cost CPU instance for pre-processing data and switch to a GPU instance for large-scale computations.
Each instance is billed per minute based on the instance type (CPU or GPU), region, and usage duration. The minimum billing duration is 1 minute. Our billing starts when your instance status changes to running and ends when it changes to stopped. You will not be charged for the time it takes to allocate or deallocate instance resources.
You are charged for instances while they are running. If your balance runs out, all active instances will be stopped, and you will get a notification. To avoid interruptions, make sure your balance is enough to cover your usage.
To launch an instance, your account must have enough credits to cover at least one hour of runtime at the selected specification. If your balance is insufficient, you can either add more funds to your account or choose a lower-cost instance to proceed.
GPU Billing Rates
The GPU billing rate is determined by the GPU type and the region in which it is used.
For the most up-to-date rates, please visit the official website HPC-AI.COM that provides a general price to help you set a budgetary expectation. When creating an instance, you can view the specific pricing for each configuration of machines on the Create Instance page. Please note that these rates are subject to change over time.
CPU Billing Rates
The standard CPU instances are available across all regions at a fixed rate of $0.24 per CPU instance/hour.
How does storage billing work?
Remote storage is charged per day based on the storage capacity you use. HPC-AI.com offers two types of remote storage, designed for different use cases:
- File System: Ideal for secure data storage with moderate I/O performance.
- High-Speed Storage: Optimized for high-performance workloads requiring fast read/write speeds, such as multi-instance training tasks.
When you create remote storage, we will ask for an estimated volume upper bound, but you are billed based on the actual GB capacity used each day and will be able to scale your storage as needed. If your storage or instance is terminated due to insufficient credits, associated storage may be reclaimed and become available for recovery.
Remote Storage Billing Rates
Remote storage must be ordered in the same region as your instance. For the most up-to-date rates, you can create remote storage here, where you can select the region and view the specific pricing details.
Example: If a customer stores an average of 30GB of data in the File System storage option with the rate being $0.0024/GB/day on a given day, the storage charge for that day would be $0.0024 * 30 = $0.072.
Can I withdraw my unused balance?
No, HPC-AI.com does not allow withdrawal of unused account balances. All funds deposited into your account are non-refundable and can only be used for platform services.
Important notes:
- Only deposit funds that you intend to use.
- We recommend carefully estimating your usage needs to avoid over-depositing.
